PlayerUnknown Productions released a small hotfix for Prologue: Go Wayback! on December 10, 2025, addressing several stability and quality-of-life issues players reported after the game’s Early Access launch.
The update, listed as v0.23481 on the game’s Steam news page, restores user audio preferences that were reverting to defaults on launch, prevents custom maps from being replaced by regular maps when loading saves, and fixes an issue that stopped achievements from unlocking in Objective: Survive and Free Roam modes. The studio also improved visual cues for rolling weather so players can see approaching changes on the horizon earlier.
This patch follows the first Early Access update and continues the developer’s work tightening core systems and player-facing bugs; more context on earlier changes is available in the early access first update.
