Beyond Farah’s profile, the leak shows updated character models, richer environments, and a reworked combat system built on an upgraded engine. The presentation implies Ubisoft is aiming for a January 2026 release window, which lines up with the rumor mill around major year-end events, including The Game Awards 2025 where this title might appear.
Community reaction is split. Some players welcome a fuller, more active Farah who contributes directly to combat and story, arguing it modernizes the relationship between the two leads. Others worry a stronger Farah risks shifting focus away from the Prince and altering the tone that defined the original game. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was the cancelled remake of the 2003 game of the same title that led to arguably the most successful reboot of the franchise yet.
