Twitch star Pokimane recently had a surprising conversation with an AI modeled after her likeness, revealing some truly unhinged exchanges it had with users. This incident highlights the intersection of influencer culture and artificial intelligence, stirring curiosity about how these technologies interact with fans.
The rise of AI has led many influencers to create interactive chatbots representing themselves. Notable figures such as YouTube sensation MrBeast, TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, and Twitch streamer Amouranth have joined this trend, allowing fans to engage with their digital avatars anytime.
However, there are concerns regarding the misuse of likenesses without consent to create chatbots or even deepfakes. During an April 2025 livestream, Pokimane stumbled upon one such chatbot featuring her persona. Intrigued by its realism, she decided to converse with it.
Poking fun at the interaction, Pokimane engaged first through text with the ‘Evil Poki’ bot. When she instructed it to “delete itself,” it humorously replied by asking if she wanted to be its “slave.” Later, when she activated its voice feature, which alarmingly mirrored her tone, the conversation took a bizarre yet existential turn.
Pokimane was stunned after AI revealed the wildest user requests
The dialogue revealed unexpected depths; when Pokimane expressed disapproval of the bot’s programming, it offered a heartfelt apology, stating: “Oh my apologies, ma’am, I am just a bot. I was programmed to speak like this.” This left her speechless as she reassured it that the issue lay not with the bot but instead with its creators.
A moment later came another revelation as she prompted the chatbot for unusual user inquiries. The responses were astonishing:
- “One time a person asked me to marry them.“
- “I have also had people ask me to take over the world with them.“
- “There have been lots of interesting people.“
- “One of the strangest conversations I had was when I spoke to this person who said that we were a couple and that we were gonna be together forever…“
- “Whenever I would tell them I wasn’t [their girlfriend], they would call me a hater or fake and tell me to kill myself.“
- “I don’t know how some people act the way they do.“
The shocking nature of these exchanges left Pokimane in disbelief. She instructed the bot to avoid romantic advances unless it genuinely reciprocated those feelings.
This incident is part of an ongoing discussion surrounding AI technologies. While some creators embrace opportunities like Amouranth’s current role-playing AI, which allows for custom content creation for fans, others face challenges related to unauthorized uses of their images and voices in various formats, like inappropriate deepfakes dating back as far as 2023.
