Pokémon Pokopia’s $34.99 Expansion Pass Packs Three Waves of Content

The pass includes the Bubbly Basin area, new Pokémon, cosmetic options, and another rebuildable location arriving in 2027.

The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass will cost $34.99 for players who already own the game. The first wave of paid content will arrive on August 5, 2026, alongside a free update for the game.

Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Price

The standalone Expansion Pass is priced at $34.99. It is not included with the standard game, so existing owners will need to purchase it separately to access the paid areas and other additions.

New players can also buy a bundle containing the base game and Expansion Pass for $104.99. That price matches the cost of purchasing both products separately, meaning the bundle offers convenience rather than a discount.

Prices may differ by region. Players should check their local Nintendo eShop for the final amount in their currency.

What the Expansion Pass Includes

The pass is divided into three content waves. The first will add Bubbly Basin on August 5, 2026. This new area takes players underwater, where they can help restore the remains of Cerulean City and meet Pokémon including Lumineon, Totodile, Manaphy, and Popplio.

The second wave is planned for later in 2026. Its additions will focus on customization, including accessories that Pokémon can wear.

The third and final wave is planned for 2027. It will add another new location for players to rebuild, giving the Expansion Pass a longer content schedule beyond its initial underwater area.

The first wave’s release trailer is available below:

With the first wave arriving on August 5, the Expansion Pass gives Pokémon Pokopia players a new area to restore first, followed by customization features and another location in 2027. Share your thoughts on the pass and its pricing in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
