Niantic will run Pokémon GO’s Halloween 2025 Part One from October 21, 2025 to October 27, 2025. The event brings the Paldean forms Poltchageist and Sinistcha, and for the first time Sinistea can appear shiny.

Event Dates and Details

    • Event dates: October 21 to October 27, 2025.
    • Debuts: Poltchageist and Sinistcha, and shiny Sinistea.
    • GO Pass: Halloween 2025 includes tiered Candy bonuses you unlock by progressing the pass.

Poltchageist and Sinistcha are new Paldean, or divergent, forms related to Sinistea and Polteageist. You can find Poltchageist in one-star raids and wild spawns during the event, and you will need 50 Poltchageist Candy to evolve Poltchageist into Sinistcha. If you enjoy collecting regional variants, these are worth prioritizing while they’re in the spotlight. Sinistea will be shiny for the first time in Pokémon GO. The glossy is a pale pink color and is easily spotted in the wild and during one-star raids. Sinistea comes in two forms, phony and authentic, and only the authentic form carries a stamp on its base. Good luck hunting the shiny, authentic form. The event will include a GO Pass: Halloween 2025 with tiered rewards. Tier 1 offers increased Catch Candy, Tier 2 increases chances for Candy XL on quality throws for Trainers level 31 and up, and Tier 3 adds bonuses like extra Candy for transferring and better Candy XL rates. Note that you must progress the GO Pass to activate the 2× Catch Candy bonus for yourself. Dark and Ghost-type Pokémon will appear more frequently. One-star raids will include Sinistea and Poltchageist, and there will be one-star Shadow Raids featuring Shadow Yamask and Shadow Phantump. Three-star raids during the event will feature Pokémon such as Alola Marowak, Hisuian Typhlosion, and Hisuian Samurott. Event Field Research will reward encounters with a variety of themed Pokémon, including Sableye, Yamask, Zorua, Litwick, Vullaby, Phantump, and Spiritomb. Some research rewards will include Mega Energy for Pokémon such as Gengar, Houndoom, Absol, Sableye, and Banette. A Lavender Town remix will play in-game each night during the event, giving your catches a spooky soundtrack. Map decorations will appear on encounters, PokéStops, and Gyms for both parts of the Halloween event. The in-game shop will offer new avatar items, including a Polteageist Hat, and event stickers will be available from PokéStops, Gifts, and the shop. As per the official website:
