Some high-damage options use only one super-effective move or rely on raw damage, so prioritize the strongest powered-up Pokémon available rather than forcing a specific six-Pokémon lineup.

These figures are useful for comparing built teams, but they should not be treated as a guaranteed result for every raid group. Trainer level, Pokémon power, attack timing, and the boss’s moveset can all affect the outcome.
Shadow Raid preparation
Purified Gems are essential for this battle. Shadow Raid Bosses become enraged during the fight, increasing their attack and defense. Using a Purified Gem temporarily lowers those stats, and several Trainers can use Gems together to stack their effects. With enough Gems, the enraged boss can be subdued and returned to its normal state.
Shadow Shards from Team GO Rocket grunts, leaders, and Shadow Raids can be processed with the Shard Refiner to create Purified Gems. Gems appear in the lower-left corner of the raid battle when they can be used, so the group should agree on when to activate them instead of spending them at random.
Mega Evolution is also worth coordinating before the raid starts. Mega Pokémon can raise the damage dealt by attacks that match their typing, so Trainers can plan their opening slots to keep that boost active as long as possible. Shadow attackers should also have Frustration removed before they are used as part of the raid team.
Shadow Thundurus Incarnate catch CP and shiny status
Shadow Thundurus Incarnate can be shiny after the raid. The catch encounter has a CP range of 1,861 to 1,911 at Level 20 without a weather boost. The listed Level 25 range is 2,326 to 2,389 CP with Rainy and Windy weather boost.
Since this is a demanding Tier 5 Shadow Raid, groups with top counters should still aim for at least five Trainers when possible. Lower-level groups or Trainers without ideal Ice and Rock teams should bring 8-10 participants, keep Purified Gems ready, and communicate throughout the fight.
