Pokemon GO: Niantic Hits the Mark with Necrozma Raid Day

Trainers rejoice as Necrozma Raid Day brings excitement and accessibility.

You know, now and then, a gaming event comes along that feels right, like your favorite sweater on a chilly day. That’s exactly what happened during the recent Necrozma Fusion Raid Day. Niantic has genuinely delivered an experience with joyous trainers, proving that sometimes simplicity can lead to the most delightful moments.

While it would’ve been nice to snag a Cosmog (the little critter you need to evolve into Solgaleo or Lunala), this event was still a fantastic time. With up to five free Raid Passes available, plus regular ones, trainers were practically swimming in opportunities to battle Necrozma. And yes, you read that right, new raids popped up every thirty minutes! It felt like being at an all-you-can-eat buffet where everything is delicious.

Niantic silently activated Beast Balls during these encounters. Can we take a moment to appreciate how brilliant this was? Not only did it make catching Necrozma easier, but it also cut down on those pesky catch times. Add in some pretty sweet, shiny odds (1 in 10 encounters!) and generous drops of Solar and Lunar Energy, and you’ve got quite the recipe for success!

And guess what? We’re not alone in our enthusiasm! A quick scroll through Reddit reveals two praise threads for Niantic’s efforts. The community has spoken loud and clear: this raid day was a smash hit!

I usually shit on Niantic but today it was a great raid day.

If you dare venture into the comments section (you’ve been warned!), some gems highlight how much fun it was when barriers were stripped away. One player even remarked on feeling like they could enjoy playing without unnecessary hurdles, which I wholeheartedly agree with!

This is how raids should be
