This week brings the gripping debut of Urshifu during GO Battle Week, a classic Machop Community Day, and the first-ever Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. GO Battle Week: Final Strike
Urshifu arrives! The Final Strike GO Battle Week event kicks off on Wednesday, May 21, 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, May 27, 8:00 p.m. local time. Alongside Urshifu, Trainers can face off against featured Raid Bosses and unlock the last stage of the Might & Mastery Season-Long Special Research. This is a great chance to add a powerful new Pokémon to your collection!
Machop Community Day Classic
On Saturday, May 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Machop returns for a Community Day Classic event. Known as the Superpower Pokémon, Machop will be more common, giving Trainers a solid opportunity to catch and evolve it. Don’t miss your chance to snag rare moves and bonuses during this event!
Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day
Sunday, May 25, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles featuring Gigantamax Machamp. Power Spots will refresh more often, so you’ll have plenty of chances to battle. If luck is on your side, you might even encounter a Shiny Machamp able to Gigantamax!
Spotlight Hour
On Tuesday, May 20, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, Poochyena takes the spotlight. Plus, Trainers will earn 2× XP for evolving Pokémon during this hour. A perfect time to power up your team!
Raids and Max Battles
Raid Hour
Wednesday, May 21, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, the Lake Trio—Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie—will be featured. Their appearances are region-specific:
- Uxie in Asia-Pacific
- Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India
- Azelf in the Americas and Greenland
Five-Star Raids
From May 12 to May 25, the Lake Trio continues to appear in five-star raids. This is a great window to challenge these powerful Psychic-type Pokémon.
Mega Raids
Mega Gyarados is back in Mega Raids until May 25. If you missed it last time, now’s your chance to take it down and earn Mega Energy.
Shadow Raids
Shadow Raids are available daily for one-star and three-star levels, with five-star Shadow Raids on weekends. Watch out for Shadow Regirock in five-star Shadow Raids during Might & Mastery. There’s even a chance to find a Shiny Shadow Regirock!
Max Battles
On Monday, May 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Dynamax Sableye will appear in Max Battles. From May 19 to May 26, Max Battles will feature Dynamax versions of Squirtle, Krabby, Sableye, and Beldum.
Season of Might and Mastery Bonuses
- Increased friendship bonus damage in raids
- Trainers level 31+ get a guaranteed Rare Candy XL after defeating a five-star Raid Boss during Raid Hour.
- Trainers level 31+ receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon
- Increased Stardust for the first catch of the day
Special Research and Power Up Ticket
The Season-Long Special Research featuring Dynamax Kubfu is available until June 3. New parts unlock as the Season progresses, so check your research tab.
Starting May 1, Trainers can purchase the Power Up Ticket for US$4.99, granting bonuses like an extra Candy XL for Raid and Max Battles and access to Timed Research throughout May.
