GO Battle Weekend: Tales of Transformation lands in Pokémon GO from Saturday, October 25 at 12:00 a.m. local time through Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. local time. This two-day event cranks up GO Battle League activity and drops a handful of tasty battle rewards for mobile trainers.
Bonuses include:

- 4× Stardust from win rewards (end-of-set rewards excluded).
- Wider variance in Attack, Defense, and HP for Pokémon encountered via GO Battle League rewards.
- The maximum number of sets you can play per day increases from five to 20, that’s up to 100 battles across the event window.
- Free battle-themed Timed Research with avatar rewards, including glasses inspired by Clemont.
Available leagues and the Halloween Cup
During the event trainers can jump into the Great League and the special Halloween Cup: Great League Edition. The Halloween Cup rules are simple: max 1500 CP, and only Poison, Bug, Ghost, Dark and Fairy types are eligible, perfect for spooky, weird lineups.
Guaranteed rank-up encounters to chase
Certain ranks guarantee encounters once per Season. Notable guaranteed encounters listed for this event include:

- Rank 6 – Pawniard
- Ace – Honedge
- Veteran – Frigibax
- Expert – Dreepy
- Legend – Pikachu (Libre)
There’s also a standard encounter pool tied to ranks (examples include Tentacool, Paldean Wooper, Spoink, Wimpod, and Rookidee at lower ranks, and things like Beldum, Galarian Stunfisk, Inkay, and Carbink as ranks climb). Rank thresholds mentioned in the event page determine what shows up, so it pays to push for higher brackets if hunting specific species.
This event is designed for heavy battle play: more sets, better Stardust, and fresh avatar bits if that’s the flex. Expect a flurry of Great League skirmishes and some creative Halloween Cup compositions over the weekend. Bring counters, baits, and a charged charge move or two.
