Pokémon GO Awards Found Zygarde Cells at Route Completion

Map-spacing improvements, perfect-IV transfer warnings, and a combined weather and compass control round out the update.

Pokémon GO now awards any Zygarde Cells found along a Route when Trainers complete it, removing the need to collect each cell separately from the map. The gameplay update keeps the chance of finding a cell unchanged, so completing a Route still does not guarantee one.

Map controls and transfers get clearer safeguards

The Compass and Weather controls now share a dynamic icon. The Compass appears while the map is being rotated or zoomed, and the Weather icon appears at other times. Tapping Weather shows current conditions and boosts, while tapping the visible Compass changes the map’s viewing direction.

Map spacing has also been adjusted to reduce overlap between wild Pokémon, Gyms, Power Spots, and PokéStops. With those elements less crowded, it should be easier to tap a specific encounter.

A new confirmation prompt warns Trainers before they transfer a Pokémon with perfect stats. During bulk transfers, the prompt also shows the exact number of selected 100% Pokémon, giving Trainers a final check before sending them away.

Community meetup check-ins move beyond Campfire

Trainers can check in to a Community Ambassador meetup from the in-game map or a web browser, without using Campfire. In the app, open the map from the Nearby menu, find the purple Meetup pin, confirm it is marked “Hosted by a Community Ambassador,” and tap Check In. Check-in opens 15 minutes before the meetup begins.
