The very first details we had on PS5 may not have been pleasing until now. First of all, Sony has announced the name of the next-gen console to be PlayStation 5, remaining consecutive after several consoles released in-line. While the announcement of the PlayStation 5 has remained under the radar and has been followed without a bigger ceremony, the next-gen console will release in Holiday 2020.
The announcement has arrived within a blog post in which Jim Ryan, president, and CEO has declared his excitement over the coming PlayStation 5.

Jim Ryan has continued discovering some of the PlayStation 5 main features and changes that are to bring huge surprises alongside. Fans worry not! There will also be a new controller coming with the PlayStation 5 that is bound to bring new features for better immersion in video games.
To that end, there are two key innovations with the PlayStation 5’s new controller. First, we’re adopting haptic feedback to replace the “rumble” technology found in controllers since the 5th generation of consoles. With haptics, you truly feel a broader range of feedback, so crashing into a wall in a race car feels much different than making a tackle on the football field. You can even get a sense for a variety of textures when running through fields of grass or plodding through mud.
The second innovation is something we call adaptive triggers, which have been incorporated into the trigger buttons (L2/R2). Developers can program the resistance of the triggers so that you feel the tactile sensation of drawing a bow and arrow or accelerating an off-road vehicle through rocky terrain.
Haptics response is surely adding immersion to any video game, as it allows the user to delve into the beauty of each environment and set a bond between him and the video game or in-game character.
