Overwatch 2, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, is set to receive a Persona crossover, arriving on September 16, 2025. The free-to-play shooter will add Persona-style costumes for several Heroes, a move that ties Blizzard’s multiplayer sandbox to Atlus’ long-running JRPG series.
The official Overwatch account teased the drop in a tweet. The artwork comes from Persona artist Shigenori Soejima, who recently worked on Metaphor: ReFantazio. The combination of Soejima’s look and Overwatch 2’s roster makes the skins a clear visual win.

The collaboration lands as part of Overwatch 2’s ongoing content cadence, giving players new cosmetic goals and a fresh reason to log in the day it releases. The Persona tie is a high-profile partner for Blizzard, and Atlus’ involvement gives the skins an authentic Persona 5 flair. Expect the event to feature limited-time availability for select items and standard store rotations for the remainder.
Overwatch 2 x Persona 5 Collaboration
The lineup, as shown by the publisher and reported by the outlet, maps several Heroes to Phantom Thieves characters. The costumes look faithful to Persona 5’s designs, with some Heroes retaining elements of their Overwatch identity and others taking on almost entirely new silhouettes. Wuyang is already the latest Hero in Overwatch 2 and will be wearing the Joker outfit. For players who follow both franchises, the skins are a clear fan service moment.
