Overwatch 2 Plans 100 Soldier 76s Versus 1 Winston Challenge

The ongoing debate about whether 100 men could defeat a single gorilla has captured attention on social media. Overwatch 2’s developers have decided to create their version of this challenge within the game, pitting 100 Soldier 76 players against one Winston.

While this won’t provide a real-world answer, it promises to be a fascinating spectacle for fans. The question remains how the game will handle 101 characters on a single map, as the engine isn’t designed for that many players simultaneously.

Overwatch 2 Does 1 Winston vs 100 Soldier 76s Challenge

The workshop tools in Overwatch 2 allow for creative game modes, but fitting 101 characters into one match is a technical challenge. Details about the gameplay mechanics are still unclear. For example, it’s unknown if the Soldier 76 players will be able to attack Winston or if Winston will remain in primal rage throughout the event.

The event is scheduled for May 6; fans can watch it live on Twitch.

Fans hope this challenge might become a playable mode rather than just a one-time exhibition. If the developers manage to make it accessible, groups of players could team up to face Winston together.

Overwatch 2 has been gaining momentum recently, with the new Stadium mode receiving positive feedback and Season 16 bringing renewed excitement to the game.
