Blizzard has announced that their famous and fresh first-person shooter, Overwatch 2, is ready to deploy the Halloween content. As always, this is a content long-expected, escorted similarly to the previous Halloween Overwatch seasons. Limited-time cosmetics, co-op mission, hero bundle, and other seasonal items are imminent.
As a celebration of the announcement, Blizzard published the new Halloween Terror trailer for 2022, revealing some of the limited-time cosmetics and game modes that will be accessible during its course. The trailer is embedded at the top of this article.
Despite the hype-up, players are somewhat disappointed seeing one skin less compared to previous years. In Overwatch 1, things were different and more rewarding, but we cannot really judge until we see the event live. Either way, players are furious and have expressed their frustration on social media.
This move strongly resembles Diablo Immortal’s business model. It’s annoying when you have to pay real money for skins, especially during an event of this caliber. Sometimes they’ll give out quests or events where the reward is usually some kind of loot box with rare items inside instead of giving out a particular skin everyone’s excited about.
