Once Human’s Lunar Oracle Update Brings in a New Challenge

Have you ever looked up at a full moon and thought, “What if this impacted my gaming?” Well, for players of Once Human, that thought is now a reality! With the recent update introducing the Lunar Oracle, players can expect exciting twists that bring danger and reward into their gameplay.

The Lunar Oracle kicks off from 21:00 to 03:00 in-game time, just enough time to brew a cup of tea and settle in for some late-night adventuring. As a red moon rises over Nalcott, everything changes. Sure, it sounds like something out of a fantasy novel, but trust me, this is where it gets interesting. During this time, the lower your HP goes, the more resources you’ll collect. Yes, you heard that right! High risk means high reward here.

Lunacy

Now let’s talk about Lunacy, a rather fitting name if I say so myself! When you’re under its spell during a Lunar Oracle event, your eyes will glow red (which might make for some cool selfies) and send you into a frenzy of desire. But don’t let those glowing peepers distract you too much! You’ll gradually lose Sanity down to 20% when outside your territory. And here’s the kicker: to recover Sanity? You’ll need to defeat enemies. So yes, things are going to get spicy!

If you manage to survive with Lunacy active, you’ll be able to earn Moon Whispers by vanquishing foes and participating in various game modes. The lower your health, the more Moon Whispers you’ll snag—but beware; die during this period and you’ll lose quite a few based on how low your Sanity was at that moment.

The twist? Surviving death grants you protection from Lunacy for that session—so even dying has its perks! Plus, once infected with Lunacy, players can uncover hidden treasures like Oracle Crates scattered across settlements or rare plants out in the wild… just watch out because gathering resources could attract Deviant attacks!

Wilderness Changes

This update doesn’t stop there; it’s also shaking things up in wilderness areas. During a Lunar Oracle phase, Deviants will become aggressive—think berserk mode—and they’ll deal increased damage while cloaked in crimson mist. If you’ve been looking forward to facing unique Elite enemies targeting Metas in settlements? Well then—you’re in luck!

You can unlock those coveted Oracle Crates using Moon Whispers as well—these crates come with exclusive formulas designed to boost your abilities significantly, along with mods tagged with ‘Lunar.’ Also, expect new animal skins and even unique animals to appear alongside these mysterious crates.

If any Chaosweaver descends during these events? Expect double trouble as both Lunar effects and environmental hazards collide together! It feels like there’s never a dull moment in Once Human.

For all those curious souls wanting more profound insights into what’s happening with this update or looking for specific tips on tackling these new challenges, head over to the Lunar Oracle Guide provided by the development team.

  • Lunar Oracle Timing: Active from 21:00-03:00 (in-game)
  • Lunacy Effects: Eye glow effect leads to decreased Sanity recovery unless defeating enemies.
  • Moon Whispers: Earned through combat during Lunacy; more gained when HP is low.
  • Aggressive Wilderness: Deviants become stronger and target players intensely during events.
  • Oracle Crates: Found using Moon Whispers, which contains powerful items and mods.
  • Crossover Events: Additional challenges arise if Chaosweaver descends concurrently.

This latest chapter adds flair, and perhaps madness, to your usual tactics while playing Once Human. How do you plan on handling these changes? Will you take risks for greater rewards or play it safe? Whatever strategy you choose, happy gaming!
