Once Human’s Cosmic Visitor Rifle and Snowline Elite Vest Will Follow October 21 Update
The SOCR weapon sends Ice Spears at enemies, while the vest boosts Frost Vortex effects without creating extra vortices.
Once Human will add a new weapon and armor after its October 21 PT version update, with both pieces built around Frost Vortex and Ice Spear mechanics. Starry Studio detailed the additions in a Steam dev blog.
The new SOCR – Cosmic Visitor rifle can generate a Frost Vortex when it hits an enemy, and its first hit after reloading is guaranteed to trigger one. After enough hits, the weapon fires a homing Ice Spear that explodes on impact. Generating a vortex sends more spears toward visible targets, while a kill can trigger another automatic volley after a short cooldown.
Ice Spears count as Ice Constructs and benefit from the corresponding Keyword VFX. The new Snowline Elite Vest adds another layer to the same setup: each Frost Vortex activates its triggered effects one extra time, but does not create an additional vortex. Every vortex also raises Frost Vortex damage, stacking up to 5 times for 5 seconds.
