Once Human’s team will introduce a new ranked battle mode called Peak Duel to the Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve scenario following the January 21 (PT) update. The new mode is built as a competitive ranked system where Metas face one another to climb server leaderboards and claim season rewards.
The developer says Peak Duel will initially be available only on newly launched servers after the January 21 (PT) update. Support for the Deviation permanent server will follow during the February 4 (PT) update, letting veteran Metas opt into the mode on the ongoing server later.
To help players join fresh servers and try Peak Duel, the developer will distribute Scenario Exit Card ×1 to every Meta after the January 21 (PT) update. Recipients should check their in-game mailbox for the item. The battle entrance for Peak Duel unlocks once the scenario reaches Phase 3. The announcement advises planning and lineup preparation in advance since the mode is intended to be highly challenging and strategically demanding.
Seasons and settlement rules for Peak Duel are as follows:
- Non-permanent servers – When the scenario enters the Rest Period, the season ends based on each Meta’s final ranking and rewards are issued.
- Permanent servers – On the 1st of every month at 6:00 (Server Time), the season concludes and rewards are distributed according to final rankings.
Reward structure details provided in the announcement include weekly participation rewards for simply joining Peak Duel and additional exclusive rewards for the top eight Metas in each server’s final rankings. Metas interested in Peak Duel are encouraged to prepare lineups and strategies ahead of the Phase 3 unlock to compete for weekly and season-end rewards.
