The Once Human Development Team announced that Eternaland’s Island Paradise will receive optimizations and new features on February 4 (PT). The update is aimed at addressing player feedback about limited gameplay depth and adds new modes, creator tools, in-game systems for supporting creators, and a personal hub for players.
How to access Island Paradise
Players can open Island Paradise from the Main Interface. On PC use the ESC menu. On mobile open the Menu button and then the Eternaland button. From there players can create a new paradise or join creations published by other users.

New gameplay: Hide and Seek
Island Paradise will add a Hide and Seek mode. Creators can build small houses or streets as hiding locations. One group of players transforms into various objects while the opposing group must identify them. The last team remaining wins. When creating a gameplay, creators will see a Hide and Seek option and can select Start Creating to place the required objects and devices.

New facilities
The update adds several placeable facility objects for creators to use when building custom gameplay. The Development Team listed facility types, names, and their functions as follows.

Creation Subscription
The update adds a Creation Subscription. Players can visit a creator’s home page and subscribe to them. Subscribed players can then view the creator’s new works more easily from the interface.

Paradise Coin tipping
A new tipping system lets players donate Paradise Coins to creators from a gameplay details page. Donations increase a creator’s visibility on the homepage so their creations appear to more players. Players can earn Paradise Coins by playing in Island Paradise daily, publishing paradises, completing paradise challenges, or by receiving donations from other players.
Personal Hub
The update adds a Paradise Personal Hub where players can view profile information and participate in Paradise challenges. The hub contains:
- My Profile: Displays personal information.
- My Subscriptions: Shows creators the player has subscribed to.
- Paradise Challenges: Weekly challenges that award additional rewards when completed.


Ongoing plans and developer note
The Development Team said it is also organizing customizable content for Eternaland and Custom Servers and is conducting a broad overhaul to make the creative tools freer and more user friendly. The team intends to keep collecting player ideas and to share progress through further developer blogs.
