Starry Studio released Version 2.2.2 for Once Human on December 8, a focused bug-fix update that aimed at an Android 16-related lag spike and a string of UI, scenario, custom server and cosmetic problems across PC and mobile.
The developer said backend monitoring turned up a rise in lag rates on Android devices tied to restrictions in Android 16 that kept some game content from updating properly. Players were told to download the latest game package from the official site and install it over the existing package without deleting the old install to clear the issue. The update also tackled several multiplayer and interface problems reported by the community, including a case where a custom server host lost access to the teleport function after setting permissions, and multiple scenario tasks and display errors that could block progress or hide objectives.

- Through backend data monitoring, we have discovered a recent increase in game lag rates on Android devices. Upon investigation, it was found that this issue is caused by restrictions in the Android 16 system, which prevents certain game content from updating properly. As a result, some Android players may experience slow game loading and lagging issues. We have resolved this problem in the latest update. Players encountering this issue are advised to visit the official website to download the latest game package and install it over the existing one (no need to delete the old package) for a smoother gaming experience.
- Fixed an issue where the reward display for the Blueprint Collection Level’s collection box was abnormal.
- Fixed an issue where the registration status could not be modified when the video failed to load on the registration screen.
- Fixed an issue where the Server Host on the Custom Server could not use the teleport function after setting host permissions.
- Fixed an issue where the resource distribution query function on the map screen displayed abnormally.
- Fixed an issue in the “The Way of Winter” scenario’s western region Cargo Conquest gameplay where the Seed of Life did not refresh.
- Fixed an issue where the Main Story Task in the “The Way of Winter” scenario did not display after exiting the scenario.
- Fixed an issue where the public Thermal Tower could not summon the Chaosweaver in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue in the “Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve” scenario where the honor system’s rating metrics and Coating tasks’ progress were abnormal.
- Fixed an issue where some mobile users could not interact properly after setting custom button positions. If you still encounter this issue, you can resolve it by resetting the custom layout.
- Fixed a clipping issue with the female bottom of the “Astral Leap” outfit.
- Fixed an issue where Shop items displayed abnormally in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue where the face customization screen displayed abnormally when creating a character in certain situations.
