Version 2.1.2 Update Announcement (August 27)
The Version 2.1.2 server maintenance and update are planned for August 27 at 4:00 PM (PT) and are expected to last approximately 2 hours (actual time may vary). Please plan your game time accordingly for the best experience.
The update size is approximately 4.05 GB on PC launchers and 157 MB on the PC client. (Note: In the event of Steam platform push delays, you may encounter a situation where no download is required on the Steam platform to access the client directly.) Instead, you can download a 2.2GB update within the client, followed by a 4.5GB download once the push arrives.), 335 MB on Android, and 370 MB on iOS (actual size may differ). We recommend downloading the update over a Wi-Fi connection.

Below are the details of this update:
Content/Feature Updates
Scenario Honor System
This update includes the surprise Scenario Honor system!
Grow your Scenario Rating and ascend through the Scenario Honor ranks to earn scenario-exclusive Honor Badges, Emblems, Star Cups, Prismatic Nicknames, Scenario Marks, and Asterism Crates!
The Scenario Honor system resets annually every 12 months, with the next reset planned for August 2026. The following content will be reset: one-off Honor Rank reward records, Honor Rank history records, and Prismatic Nickname validity period. Other rewards obtained through this system (scenario-exclusive Honor Badges, Emblems, Star Cups, Scenario Marks, and Asterism Crates) will be retained as per the corresponding rules.
Honor Badges have an exclusive coating effect. Complete just one Coating task, and you’ll receive a scenario-exclusive badge coating for a limited time after Scenario Honor is settled! And if you complete all Coating tasks, you’ll unlock even more spectacular coatings! Coatings can be unlocked repeatedly to extend their validity. Start climbing the ranks now!
Reward Cycle
1. In Once Human, a reward cycle starts when your character joins a scenario and lasts until the start of the settlement phase.
After this update, scenario servers that are nearing their settlement phases may have relatively brief initial reward cycles. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
2. In RaidZone mode, a reward cycle starts when your character joins a scenario and lasts until the server resets.
Reward Requirements
1. Your character must be at least Lv. 20 and have joined the scenario before settlement is complete.
2. If you exit the scenario midway through a reward cycle, you cannot complete settlement, and your run will not be recorded.
If you join a scenario server that has already entered its settlement phase, you cannot complete settlement. Please take this into consideration when choosing a server.
Reward Issuance Rules
1. If you have met the reward requirements and completed settlement, you can claim your rewards by navigating to the Scenario Rating interface and selecting Honor Rewards. Don’t worry if you forget to claim your rewards before exiting the scenario. Honor Badges (including coating effects) and Prismatic Nicknames will be automatically unlocked. Emblems, Star Cups, Scenario Marks, and Asterism Crates will be sent to the corresponding character via in-game mail.
2. Rewards are determined by the highest rank attained by your character within a single scenario. Rewards can only be claimed once during the next Scenario Honor cycle, lasting from August 2025 to August 2026.
The display location for Scenario Marks will be replaced with Scenario Honor Badges. Remember to make changes accordingly.
New Memetic Formula: Body Enhancement Feed V
Unlock this new formula under Memetics > Animal Taming to craft the Body Enhancement Feed V item, which can be fed to any animal to instantly raise them to Lv. 60.
New Furniture Interaction Pose Options
Due to popular demand, we’ve added a way to switch between multiple furniture interaction poses. Includes a variety of character poses for you to choose from! You can now switch your sitting pose on sofas and chairs, and more pose options are coming soon!
Remove Makeup
You can now remove makeup by clicking the currently equipped makeup. You can also view details on all makeups you own.
Focus Navigation with Controllers
Focus navigation is now available for controllers on PC. Use the d-pad to navigate through buttons or components on supported interfaces. This makes navigation with a controller more convenient and intuitive. You can still use the joystick to control the cursor as needed. We will continue to expand focus navigation to more interfaces and improve controller functionality on PC.

Optimizations
Combat
We’re implementing our planned balance adjustments in phases. In the August 28 (PT) update, we’ll be adjusting the following content: Frost Vortex – keyword effect, Abyss Glance, Silent Anabasis, Icy Rain, Frost Tactical Vest, Cryo Blast, Vortex Multiplier, Obliteration, Polar Jelly, Claymore Mine: Frost Trap – Memetic Specialization, Raining Cash, Doombringer, Corrosion, and Lonewolf’s Whisper.
For more information, see detailed balance notes on Steam
After these adjustments, we will continue monitoring each build’s effectiveness and usage rates to assess whether further adjustments are necessary.
We’ve also noticed that Pyro Dino tends to outperform other Deviations, causing balance issues. During this update, we will adjust Polar Jelly and Lonewolf’s Whisper. In subsequent updates, we will enhance the other Deviations in batches, based on priority. Stay tuned!
To ensure a smooth transition, we will issue Blueprint Conversion Attempt ×3 to all players after this update.
RaidZone
1. Added the Flamethrower, a static defense installation for the early game.
2. Changed the Shotgun Turret to require electricity and adjusted its Technology level to improve balance.
3. Phase Progression and Ending Adjustments
a) New servers opened after this update will have Scenario Challenges and Daily Commissions unlocked by default. These servers will also consist of a single phase with no phase changes.
b) Servers opened after this update will no longer have triggerable endings or end early due to triggered endings.
4. Survival Optimizations
a) Reduced the Stamina cost of sprinting by 25%. Removed the Stamina cost of gathering. Increased the Stamina recovery speed by 25%.
b) Hydration and Energy effects:
i. Previously, Load would gradually decrease when Energy was below 30%. Now, Load will only be reduced when Energy reaches 0.
ii. Previously, Stamina recovery speed and Movement Speed would be reduced when Hydration was below 30%. Now, only Movement Speed will be reduced when Hydration reaches 0.
iii. Previously, the Stamina cost of sprinting was reduced when Hydration reached 60%. Now, this will only apply when Hydration reaches 100%.
iv. The Force recovery effect will only apply when Energy reaches 100%.
c) Optimizations to returning from blackout:
Previously, after returning from a blackout, Energy and Hydration would be restored to their pre-blackout levels. Now, Energy will be restored to approximately 50% and Hydration to approximately 70% after a blackout. This should improve the experience for players with fewer resources.
d) Sanity optimizations:
We’ve removed the deduction effect that low Sanity has on Max HP. This ensures that your Max HP remains fixed.
5. Optimized the drop mechanics of crafting facilities. After this update, these facilities will drop all items in their queue upon destruction.
6. Added weekly reset and monthly reset servers. Refer to the server names to choose one that suits you.
7. We’ve noticed that some players cannot obtain vehicle repair items in the early game and cannot use vehicles as a result. To improve this, we’re making these adjustments to the rules for obtaining vehicles in the wilderness:
a) Bicycles that spawn in the wilderness no longer need to be repaired and can be used right away.
b) To maintain fairness and improve balance in RaidZone mode, bicycles can only be used by one player at a time, with no pillion rider.
8. Removed the Mod access point from the Backpack.
9. Reduced the chance of the Inferior Bomb being a dud, and increased the chance of the Inferior Dud being a dud.
10. Reduced the damage that the Torch, Bone Knife, and Wrench deal to buildings to make them more consistent with other melee weapons.
For more information, refer to the RaidZone update notes on Steam

2. Added special shield generators to the entrances of Securement Silo – ALPHA, Securement Silo – THETA, Securement Silo – PSI, Securement Silo – PSI [Deviation +0.5], Securement Silo – SIGMA, Securement Silo – EX1, Securement Silo – PHI, and Securement Silo – EX1 [Deviation -1.4] in Endless Dream. 3. Adjusted the methods for obtaining Reality Fragments in Endless Dream:
a) Added large amounts of Reality Fragments to the rewards for Scenario Challenge tasks in each phase.
b) Removed Reality Fragments from the global rewards for defeating an Eternal Dreamer for the first time. After the update, all accounts with characters on Endless Dream servers will receive the following compensation: Reality Fragment ×1,500.
4. One of the descriptions in the Version 2.1.1 Update Announcement was ambiguous. It has been corrected to: “Adjusted the weekly mutations for Securement Silo – PSI and Securement Silo – PSI [Deviation +0.5]. Get Toughened has been removed from the pool of possible boss mutations.” We will pay more attention to clarity of expression in future update announcements. Sorry for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your understanding.
