Once Human is releasing its Version 2.0.1 update on July 16, which will introduce multi-mode accounts, fresh content for custom servers, a new camera fill-light feature, and several gameplay optimizations and bug fixes. This update aims to offer players more flexibility and polish across both PC and mobile platforms.

The update will begin with server maintenance starting at 4:00 PM (PT) and is expected to last approximately two hours. Download sizes will be approximately 2.3GB for PC, 570MB for Android, and 400MB for iOS. It’s recommended to update via Wi-Fi to avoid incurring data charges.

Multi-Mode Accounts and Characters
Once Human and its PvP-focused counterpart, Once Human: RaidZone, will now operate as separate modes under one account. Players can switch between modes from the login screen. While the same account and character limit applies across both, certain data like PvP-affecting blueprints won’t transfer to RaidZone mode. Cosmetics remain usable in both. Characters in RaidZone won’t have access to Eternaland or the Spacetime Backpack during matches.

Characters can transfer between modes for scenario sign-ups, and mode-exclusive events will be available within their respective modes. Battle Pass progress and purchases are shared, but some rewards differ per mode. Cross-mode events track progress together, though rewards may vary. This setup should give players the chance to enjoy both survival and PvP gameplay without confusion.

Custom Server Enhancements
The Endless Dream scenario is now available for custom servers, with badge cross-compatibility added between custom and official servers. The maximum number of concurrent online players on custom servers will increase to 100, purchasable via an upgrade package. More custom servers and upgrade packages will be added on July 17 and 18 through the official top-up page.

Server Overload Prompts
A new overload warning will appear on the ping indicator when servers become overwhelmed, typically during large player gatherings or intense battles. If the ping number turns red, players might notice lag or delayed skill effects. Players are advised to avoid crowded areas or reduce attack frequency during these times. The server dynamically adjusts to recover its normal speed, and the prompt will disappear once it is stable again.

Camera Mode Fill-Light
A fill-light function has been added to the camera mode, enabling players to adjust the brightness of their screenshots and control lighting more effectively.

New Events and Shop Items
Three new limited-time Wish Machine prize pools will be available for three weeks after the update, offering legendary weapon and gear blueprints. also, the Lightforge Loot Crate “Choose 1 of 3” event returns with three themed crates: Techno Stampede, Arcane Celestial, and Stardust Edge. Players can select one crate to open, with progress and rewards shared across characters on the same account. Previous draw progress will carry over, but players must log in with the character used before to inherit past records.

Lightforge Loot Crate options

After July 24, the Blazing Speed character set and Speed Mania theme pack will arrive in the shop, featuring a glowing effect synced with the day/night cycle. The Chronowash territory furniture pack will also be added for a relaxing vibe.

Patch Notes

  • Multi-Mode Accounts: Switch between Once Human survival and RaidZone PvP modes with shared account data but mode-specific rules.
  • Custom Servers: Added Endless Dream scenario, badge compatibility, and increased max players to 100 via upgrade.
  • Server Overload Prompt: Ping indicator shows red during overload; lag and delays may occur.
  • Camera Fill-Light: New feature to brighten in-game photos.
  • Wish Machine: New prize pools with legendary blueprints available for 3 weeks.
  • Lightforge Loot Crate Choose 1 of 3: Returns with three crate options and progress retention.
  • New Shop Items: Blazing Speed character set, Speed Mania theme pack, and Chronowash furniture pack coming July 24.
  • RaidZone Optimizations: Adjusted territory visibility, safe zones added, Deviant and Elite enemy balance changes.
  • Combat Adjustments: Ammo rebalances including new Incendiary Blast types and HV ammo velocity changes.
  • Vehicles: Pillion riding enabled, new interaction button, vehicle skin changes outside garage, scrapyards, and synced storage.
  • Construction: Fences can be placed on foundations and ceilings, territory movement expanded, wallpaper appearance improved.
  • Class System: Player classes visible on Player Info interface.
  • Other: Teleport optimization, trade improvements, social chat enhancements, healing item redesign, cloud save for PC controls.
  • Bug Fixes: Fixed clipping in Ruined Lumina Set, Pristine Deer Meat effect mismatch, Viper Mask passive issues, and others.

If you want to know more about the combat balance specifics, they have a detailed post linked in the official announcement, but the gist is that some ammo and skill tweaks will adjust gameplay gradually. Players who participated in previous loot crate events should remember to log in with the correct character to have their progress recognized. Wow, that’s quite a list!

What do you think about splitting the game into two modes under one account? Do you prefer survival or PvP more? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below — I’m curious how this will change the player experience.
