Last night I was diving back into Once Human and noticed some of the rough edges I’d bumped into were finally smoothed out by the latest patch. Version 1.6.1, released on May 23, brings a hefty list of fixes that tackle everything from broken tasks to wonky item behavior.
Once Human Version 1.6.1 Bug Fixes (May 23)
Dear Metas,
Since the official release of Once Human version 1.6.1, the developers have been collecting feedback and working through a pile of issues reported by players. Here’s a rundown of the fixes they rolled out:
- Explosion and lightning events now properly show up on the Endless Dream timeline.
- The disassembly of bullets outputs the correct quantity, no more weird math.
- Weathervane Deviants can finally be defeated during Deep Dreamer battles in Endless Dream.
- House Blueprints can be used in Once Human: RaidZone again; a game restart is needed to apply this fix.
- Destroying wooden doors now counts for the Scenario Challenge task “Destroy the doors of 2 hostile Meta-Humans.”
- Placing a Meta Pass campsite correctly completes the Main Story Task “Place a Campsite.”
- Gravity Crystals obtained by certain methods now count toward the Starfall Collection event progress.
- Deviant quantities in Eternal Dreamer zones within Endless Dream have been corrected.
- Video and screen transitions from the Lightforge Loot Crate interface to Shop > Lightforge Canvas no longer glitch.
- The tutorial boss’s HP is no longer stuck at 1 in Manibus (Novice) and Prismverse’s Clash.
- Realm Crate timers reset properly after being opened.
- Output placement for Mining and Logging Platforms in RaidZone has been fixed.
- Photography and Building Contests now redirect players to Discord as intended.
- Some missing fashion items have been restored to the Shop.
- Max Durability for certain structures was increased; affected structures in Eternaland will be fully restored on next login.
- The task ‘Harvest 10 mutated crops through Deviations’ in Scenario Challenges can now be completed with progress retained.
- Lag issues when returning to Eternaland after scenarios have been addressed.
- Melee attacks can no longer be used instantly mid-air except to descend quickly from height, balancing aerial movement in the new scenario.
- Players entering RaidZone with simplified tasks now receive initial gear and weapons properly.
- Light Dreamers in Endless Dream are now defeatable.
- The Scenario Challenge task requiring use of defense facilities to defeat the Nightmareling now progresses correctly.
- Descriptions for obtaining Wakeful Sand have been improved and yields increased during abundance periods.
- Formula displays that were missing are now visible.
- Spawn points have been optimized to prevent players from appearing in sealed-off areas.
- Lightforge Loot Crate purchase limits have been fixed.
- Mod conversion failures have been resolved.
- Paid furniture is now bound to the current character as expected.
- Bugs preventing bosses from taking damage in some situations have been fixed.
I remember when early versions of Once Human had those annoying glitches that made some challenges feel impossible or just plain unfair. Seeing so many of those issues addressed in one patch is a relief.
Some of these fixes might seem minor, but they add up to a smoother experience overall. For example, the tweak to melee attacks mid-air might change how some players approach fights, making aerial combat less spammy and more tactical. And that lag fix when returning to Eternaland? A small thing, but it makes a difference when you’re hopping between scenarios.
Have you noticed any of these bugs yourself? Or maybe you spotted something else that still needs fixing? Drop your thoughts in the comments below—I’m curious how these changes affect your playthrough.
