Once Human players can expect some critical changes in the June 19 update, after hearing player feedback from the May update, the developers address weapon balance issues and refine combat mechanics in Starfall Inversion. These adjustments aim better to align gameplay with design goals and player preferences.
Balance Adjustments
The May 22 update targeted single-target damage output, but some weapons like Doombringer and Predator have remained weaker than intended. The June update will further tweak these weapons to improve their performance. For example, the Rapid Sniper blueprint now reduces the post-fire delay on bolt-action sniper rifles by shortening the cocking animation, which should make shots feel smoother and quicker.
Character descriptions have also been standardized. Players and NPCs will now be labeled as “Meta-Human” or “non-meta-human unit” to explain target types without affecting gameplay. This is a small but helpful detail for better understanding combat interactions.
Starfall Inversion Updates
Player feedback pointed out that some combat features in Starfall Inversion didn’t quite hit the mark. The developer team is adjusting trigger conditions and numerical values for these features, hoping to improve the overall combat flow. These changes should make encounters feel more balanced and responsive.
Developer Notes on Balance Philosophy
The team acknowledges that previous balance changes were somewhat reactive and ad hoc. To improve this, they will now release balance updates regularly, once a month, after every two game updates. Changes will be guided by community feedback and data on build usage in different combat scenarios. They plan to balance builds through stat tweaks, suffix changes, or complete reworks as needed. After each update, they’ll monitor how builds perform and adjust again if necessary.
To help players adapt to these changes, everyone will receive 3 Blueprint Conversion Attempts after this update. This should ease the transition and allow experimentation with adjusted builds.
Have you been using Doombringer or Predator? How do you feel about the new tweaks to Starfall Inversion? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
