The July 17 update for Once Human is bringing some cool new options for players wanting to jump into permanent servers. These changes might just disrupt how you experience the game world for longer stretches, so it’s definitely worth a peek.
Two new methods for accessing permanent scenario servers will be available. First, you can sign up for an existing permanent server if your current scenario allows it. Just a heads-up, your character’s level and gear will reset when you sign up, but cosmetics, titles, and achievements will carry over as usual. If you want to keep your current progress intact, you’ll need to wait until your ongoing scenario finishes so it merges properly into a permanent server.
Second, you’ll have the option to create a brand-new character directly from the server list and join a permanent server, no need to sign up through a scenario first. That’s kinda handy if you want a fresh start without any hassle.
Some extra rules are in play, too. Permanent servers will support invite codes, making it easier than ever to team up with friends. If these servers become crowded, the developers plan to open additional ones to accommodate players. Additionally, for now, permanent servers you join by signing up will only have one phase, and Scenario Challenges will not be available yet, although they will be introduced later.
It’s clear that the Once Human team wants to continually tweak the permanent server system to make it more stable and enjoyable. Who doesn’t want a game world that feels alive and persistent?
