Once Human Adds Shopping Carts and Horse Riding to Its Future Plans

Starry Studio also accepted an Acting Physician rework and new storage rules for materials refunded from dismantled buildings, while a Corrosive Agent change is already live.

Once Human‘s ninth Meta Hotline turns several long-requested quality-of-life ideas into active plans, including shopping carts, horse riding and breeding, and better handling for materials refunded from dismantled buildings. Starry Studio is also preparing changes for the Acting Physician, while one related item adjustment is already live. The previous cycle had already confirmed a first-person fire-effect fix and moved planter skins, Growshroom harvesting controls, and gear viewing into development in the eighth Meta Hotline results.

Starry Studio published the latest results in its ninth Meta Hotline announcement. The Feedback Hot Charts standings were recorded on September 16 through the Once Human Feedback Platform, where players can like or dislike suggestions and help the team decide which requests receive attention.

Shopping carts and horses move forward

A shopping cart feature has been accepted and is now in planning and development. The proposed system would let players browse and select multiple items before paying, while also making spend-based coupons easier to use during shopping and trading. Starry Studio has not announced a release date.

Horse riding and breeding have also joined the game’s future ridable-animal plans. The studio intends to work on water-animal riding first, followed by horse riding and breeding features. The announcement did not provide a schedule for either part of that plan.

The Acting Physician is getting another look

Starry Studio accepted a request to adjust the Acting Physician after players described the enemy as difficult to kill and unclear to handle. The team said the problem is partly the explanation of its counter mechanic and partly the elite enemy’s high stats.

On Nalcott, the Acting Physician’s exposed Computer Terminal is the key target. When the blue-effect terminal appears during certain skills, destroying it removes the enemy’s recovery and grab abilities. Players can then finish the fight normally. If the terminal remains intact while the enemy’s health is low, it can recover instead.

Specific mechanical and stat changes are still being evaluated, and Starry Studio will provide the final details in a later announcement.

One teleport restriction remains

The request to restore teleporting to a Territory while overencumbered was not accepted for now. Starry Studio clarified that the restriction applies only inside Phantom Pollution Zones, where loot drops and recycling facilities provide double rewards. The added extraction limits are intended to balance that higher output. Players pulled into a dungeon as part of a team are not affected by the restriction.

Corrosive Agent can now be toggled

The related Corrosive Agent adjustment went live with the September 2 PT version update. The item now works as a switch, so using it activates the effect and using it again turns the effect off. Its total durability remains 60 minutes, giving players more control over when that time is spent during an expedition.

Building refunds will get safer storage rules

Starry Studio also accepted a request concerning materials returned when buildings are dismantled. Refunded materials currently go into the Territory Terminal depot, but limited space can cause the automatic storage system to overwrite more important basic materials and parts. The planned change will revise those storage rules so refunded materials are retained more safely. A release date has not been announced.
