Once Human’s developers recently found a problem affecting some players’ item balances due to a system glitch between May 28 and May 29. This notice explains what happened and what players can expect going forward.
According to the Once Human Project Team, some characters may have received more event check-in rewards than intended. The team wants to keep gameplay fair while being considerate of players who might have only a tiny difference in items.
The plan is split into three parts:
- If a player got fewer items than the normal threshold, they will receive compensation to make up for it.
- If the amount of items gained falls within the normal range, no action will be taken and players can keep their items.
- If the number of items exceeds the normal threshold by a large margin, the excess items will be reclaimed by June 9.
It’s a careful approach that tries to balance fairness and player experience. Have you noticed any unusual item counts in your inventory? It’s kind of frustrating when these things happen, but it’s good to see the developers addressing them quickly.
If you have questions or want to share your experience, the team encourages you to contact them via the in-game feedback system. It’s always nice when developers keep communication open like this.
What do you think about the reclaiming process? Would you prefer a different solution? In the comments below—I’m curious how this affects everyone.
