The Once Human update 1.6.2 just landed, and it’s packed with a bunch of fixes that should make your gameplay run smoother. This patch is for you if you’ve been frustrated by lag, wonky tasks, or weird visual glitches.
First up, the devs apologized for the server overload problems that caused damage to not register and crazy latency spikes. This happens when too many players and specific weapon effects cluster together. They’re optimizing things to reduce the strain, especially in popular modes like Dream Zones in Endless Dream. They might tweak rewards there too, to stop AFK farming and overcrowding. Expect these refinements by the end of June.
Now, about those pesky bugs: the patch fixed Territory Terminal placements on some servers and corrected a Scenario Challenge task that was impossible to complete—defeating the Manibus, the Creepling. Task descriptions also got clearer, like switching “Defeat Mimics” to “Defeat 5 Nightmare TVs,” and specifying difficulty levels for others.
Oh, and building dummies in Dream Zones? Gone. Plus, some players who couldn’t see the Nova Deviation feature after updating should be all good now. Lightning damage in Securement Silo on Nightmare difficulty got fixed, and character deletion works properly on custom servers again.
Tablet users will notice better performance graphically since max quality and frame rates were raised. Several visual bugs, like weird leg models in Quantum Echo Bottom and ceiling structures randomly collapsing during building, were also squashed.
Other fixes include bullets no longer passing through buildings, merchant shops properly stocking items, and resolving issues with server merges and dungeon parameters on custom servers. Even the Dagger’s descending attack positioning and The Bull’s Eye’s Vulnerability stacking got sorted out.
Have you encountered any of these issues before? How’s the gameplay feeling now after the patch? Drop your thoughts below—I’m curious what the community thinks!
