Hello Games pushed a small December 1 update for No Man’s Sky that appears on consoles as update 6.18, addressing a short list of gameplay and visual bugs tied to the Holiday Expeditions. The patch focuses on corvette behavior in multiplayer, a string of visual fixes, and a couple of platform-specific crash and display problems. Compared to larger releases earlier this year, the list is compact, for contrast, we previously covered No Man’s Sky Update 6.02 brings over 80 fixes and improvements, which landed with a much broader set of changes.
Key corvette fixes include a bug that could rearrange technology slots after playing in multiplayer, a placeholder Cargo Box corvette item becoming obtainable, landing gear failing to retract, and corvettes failing to land if a fossil display was installed. The patch also corrects fossil hologram orientation and an invisible ribcage issue on some fossil displays, which should matter to players who decorate ships or build museum-style shows inside corvettes.
Visual problems were targeted as well, including a fix for bioluminescent creature visuals and a Quicksilver shop display error that left claimed character customizations showing as unclaimed on The Space Anomaly. Platform-specific fixes are focused and practical, an Xbox crash that could occur when accepting game invites from a suspended state has been addressed, and PS5 systems running in 8K mode should no longer hit a black screen in certain situations.
