Nintendo has reportedly contacted Genki, the company behind recent leaks related to the upcoming Switch 2. This development occurred during CES in Las Vegas, where Genki showcased what they claimed was a replica of Nintendo’s next system.
The leaks included numerous images and assertions about the console. Genki representatives mentioned that they had seen a final unit of the unannounced system and even discussed its release date with attendees at CES.
In a video by journalist Julien Tellouck, it was stated that Nintendo’s lawyers approached Genki at the event. As per to Tellouck a representative from Genki expressed confidence noting that they had not signed any agreements with Nintendo, including confidentiality agreements or NDAs. Thus, they believe their position is secure.
While Genki has not yet issued an official statement regarding this matter, Nintendo responded to earlier leak reports by stating that the mockups presented were not “official.” Furthermore, another tech leaker recently shared a 360-degree render claiming to provide an accurate look at the anticipated console.
