Nintendo has shut down the rumors circling the internet, claiming that a more powerful Switch variant might be releasing soon. This was stated by Nintendo’s president Shuntaro Furukawa who told Bloomberg that another Switch model wouldn’t be discovered soon.
The idea of creating a much powerful Switch version inspired the conspiracy theorists to step in with their opinions, driven by the recent actions by Nintendo itself after asking the developers to make their games 4K ready. Sadly, if we follow the recent statement by Shuntaro Furukawa, that won’t happen, or the least case scenario will happen somewhere at the end of 2021, and it’s still being kept in secret.
Nintendo has discovered the Switch sales figures in other news and confirmed that the handheld gaming device is doing more than fine. In the past year, the Nintendo Switch has managed to surpass 79,87 million units worldwide, surpassing the lifetime sales of the 3DS.
