XDefiant will receive a new update today, June 24, starting at 6AM PT/ 9AM ET. As announced, there will be downtime for about an hour.
While the full patch notes aren’t out yet, rumors say that there will be a couple of tweaks to make the game smoother, more balanced, and, let’s be real, more fun. The official announcement for the update was shared by the game’s official X profile. You can find it below:

Patch Notes (To Be Updated)
As soon as the patch notes drop, we’ll update this section. So far, this is what we know:
- Feedback on mastery changes is heard – will now take half as long to earn a rank
- Fix audio bug where kill confirmation is missing
- Fix bug where you can only move and nothing else
The developer also said, “To be clear – you will jump up in ranks when this change happens to the correct rank in the new system, so the more XP you gain now the bigger this “jump” will be when the patch goes live!”
