If you’ve ever been in a match and thought, “I just can’t catch a break,” welcome to the club! Trainers are facing an unexpected twist in the GO Battle League, where a new bug is crashing games faster than you can say “Pikachu!” Imagine being all set for a fierce battle only to have your game freeze and hand your opponent an easy win. Yup, that’s happening.
This bizarre exploit came to light thanks to João Correia. He and his friend found themselves abruptly booted from matches against a player named JukkaBukka. It’s not every day that someone crashes your game with such style!
Be mindful of this trainer, both me and a friend got our game insta crashed when we queued vs them for an insta loss. Taking into account they weren't even on the LB on this update and now are at 2800s, there might be some sort of exploit going on.
Hopefully just a coincidence pic.twitter.com/8Me1KwCjkU

As luck would have it, JukkaBukka has rocketed, becoming the first legend-ranked Trainer of the GO Battle League Dual Destiny Season. With an impressive rating of 2868 after just 675 battles, talk about hitting the ground running! This wasn’t even on anyone’s radar two days ago. No wonder folks are raising eyebrows at this meteoric rise.
The Twitch Revelation: A Streamer’s Encounter with JukkaBukka
But wait, there’s more! Another trainer who faced off against JukkaBukka was none other than ItsAXN, crowned World Champion of Pokémon GO 2023. During a live stream, AXN experienced exactly what João did, a crash that felt more like betrayal than bad luck:
JukkaBukka popped into AXN’s Twitch chat to share their thoughts on this mess. They claimed they’d reported the bug to Niantic before but got crickets in response. “The only way to get them to do anything is to get attention,” they bluntly stated. It sounds like something straight out of a suspense thriller!
This bold Trainer doesn’t mind if they’re banned, either. After all, they’ve got some serious beef with how Niantic has treated game quality over recent years: “They don’t care at all about integrity or quality.” Ouch! That criticism must sting when sitting at #13 on the leaderboard.
Jukka chose not to spill all the beans about how this exploit works but hinted that others might be using it, too. So keep those eyes peeled!
With many staff taking holiday breaks right now, if this issue spreads widely through GBL matches, it could wreak havoc on rankings across the board. If you’re encountering frequent crashes while queuing up for battles, maybe hold off until things settle down.
