New Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Lets V React to World Events with Voice and Animations

Modder MisterChedda adds dynamic voice lines and animations for V’s reactions in Cyberpunk 2077.

A new mod for Cyberpunk 2077 is about to change how V interacts with Night City’s chaos. Created by modder MisterChedda, it gives V the ability to respond dynamically to open-world events with voice lines and animations that were mostly unused in the base game. This means V will no longer be a silent observer but an active participant reacting to what’s happening around them.

Imagine V getting bumped by a pedestrian or hit by a speeding car and actually saying something annoyed or flipping off the offender. When stealing cars or dealing with an imminent car explosion, V will react with appropriate voice lines and gestures. Even Johnny Silverhand’s commentary while riding shotgun will get responses from V, which you can toggle off if it’s not your thing.

The mod taps into existing voice lines that CD Projekt Red left out, as well as some new reaction lines to fill in the gaps. The result is a world that feels a bit more responsive and alive. It’s kinda surprising this wasn’t in the game from the start, right? I mean, why wouldn’t V react to getting nailed by a car or someone being rude? It adds a layer of immersion that fans have long desired.

You can grab the mod from Nexus Mods. For enhanced gameplay depth, mods that add ragdoll physics to finishers or overhaul the Police System are available, along with a plugin that integrates the OpenAI API for ChatGPT support. Responsive NPC mods that make NPCs react dynamically are also on the list, plus one that restores 100 NPCs cut from the original game. Check the video below:

What do you think? Will this mod make your Cyberpunk 2077 runs more enjoyable?
