Red Dead Redemption 2 has been stirring up talk again, thanks to a curious addition on Rockstar’s support page that briefly appeared before vanishing. This small change has fans wondering if a PS5 port might be coming soon for the favorite Western epic.
Rockstar recently added an “online migration” tab to the Red Dead Redemption 2 support page. It didn’t stay long, but its existence suggests players might be able to transfer their online progress from PS4 to PS5, much like what happened with GTA 5. Since Red Dead Redemption 2 currently only exists on PS4, this points to a potential next-gen version.
Of course, it’s also possible this was just a simple oversight, but it’s not the only sign pointing to a PS5 release. Rumors about a current-gen edition have been circulating for a while, and earlier this year, a cast reunion teased fans with hints that turned out to be something else entirely. Still, the recent addition of new missions to Red Dead Online, despite prior statements about ending updates, adds to the sense that Rockstar might be eager for something.
Will Rockstar finally announce an upgraded version of Arthur Morgan’s saga for PS5 soon? The company tends to keep quiet until it’s ready, so if this port is real, an official reveal could happen any day now. It’s kinda interesting to think about revisiting the vast frontier with improved visuals and performance.
What do you think? Is a PS5 port for Red Dead Redemption 2 just around the corner, or is this all wishful thinking? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
