New 2-Minute Raw Gameplay Trailer Reveals Early Moments of ILL Horror Game

ILL, a narrative-driven first-person horror game, just got a fresh look with a new 2-minute raw gameplay trailer shared by IGN. This footage shows the very beginning of the game, offering a glimpse into its creepy atmosphere and gameplay mechanics.

In this early section, the protagonist explores some rooms, picks up a gun, and encounters their first enemy. The game is set in a town that has gone completely mad, and you play someone trapped there, trying to uncover what caused everything to fall apart.

The developers aim to deliver a story-rich experience full of frightening moments, with realistic body horror and detailed monster designs. Enemies behave differently depending on how you fight them, and you can damage their bodies in various ways, which adds a layer of strategy to combat.

You’ll need to think carefully to survive. The game encourages using different weapons, crafting items, and exploring the environment to collect supplies. Every decision counts in this dark adventure, where adapting quickly might be your best chance to stay alive.

The weapon system is quite detailed. You have to pay attention to gun malfunctions, select the right ammo, and keep your weapons in good condition. Special animations make the weapons feel natural in the character’s hands, adding to the immersion.

Managing your inventory is also a challenge. Balancing weapons, limited ammo, and crafting materials means you’ll have to make smart choices to get through the harsh world. It’s a survival experience that demands patience and quick thinking.

The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5, and the graphics look great in this trailer. Unfortunately, there’s no confirmed release date yet, and PC requirements haven’t been announced. It’s likely we’re looking at a late 2026 release, which is a bit disappointing if you’re eager to play.

Still, seeing actual gameplay footage is reassuring, especially since some have doubted the game’s existence. This isn’t vaporware; it’s very much real and progressing.

Have a look at the trailer below and see for yourself what ILL has to offer. I’m curious—what do you think about the gameplay so far? Does it look like your kind of horror game?
