Steam Deck verification and account setup

NBA 2K27 will be Steam Deck and Steam Machine verified from the start of Advanced Access. That gives players another way to take the game beyond a traditional desktop setup when the early launch window opens.

A 2K account is also required for the game’s online features, game modes, and synchronized content. Creating one before launch through the 2K account signup page should prevent that step from getting in the way when the game becomes available.

The NBA 2K HQ companion app launched on August 21, ahead of Advanced Access. It includes social tools and the full MyPLAYER Builder, allowing players to create and upload a MyPLAYER before August 26 so it is ready for NBA 2K27.

Reveal stream and Courtside Reports

A reveal stream provides a broader look at what is coming to the court, while the Courtside Reports cover gameplay changes, new features, and updates across the game’s modes.

With the requirements checked, the preload date saved, and a 2K account created, the main launch-day hurdles are out of the way. Share your plans for NBA 2K27 in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, or Telegram.
