NARAKA: Bladepoint’s August 7th update brings new content and a bunch of changes. From a new hero with thunder in his veins to a reworked reputation system and several limited-time events, there’s plenty to chew on. Let’s get into the details and see what’s new, what’s changed, and what you might wanna watch out for.
Servers will be down for maintenance starting August 6th, 2025, at 23:00 (UTC) until August 7th, 2025, at 04:00 (UTC), so plan your playtime accordingly.
Brand New Content
New Hero: Inor Wan
Meet Inor Wan, the Thunder’s Voice. A lone wanderer charged with justice, Inor Wan, is famed as the Best Escort in Icuria. He takes on escort missions with relentless determination, no matter the dangers. If you like a hero who doesn’t back down from a challenge, he might be your new go-to.
Season Exclusive: Fission Treasure
Priced at 360 Gold, the Fission Treasure offers a shot at rewards like Yoto Hime’s Extreme Outfit [Doll Dream] and the Katana Extreme Skin [Blade Mystique]. The Doll Dream outfit triggers a special Waltz Finale effect on enemy defeats, transforming into a Crimson Puppet form at combat start. The Blade Mystique skin alters hit effects and charged strike appearances.
There’s a minimum guarantee system in place: at least one Red (Extreme) reward within 100 treasures, and a Legendary cosmetic within every 25 treasures opened, up to 14 times. You can also set a Legendary cosmetic as a “Wishing Legendary Reward” to guarantee it next time you get a Legendary drop. The first 10 treasures are half price, but discounts don’t stack with other vouchers.
Fission Treasure unlocks on August 7th at 04:00 (UTC), with early previews available after server opening but before the actual unlock.
Reputation Score System
The reputation system got a makeover. You can now check your score via Profile-Reputation and earn rewards like Legendary Bases, Ranked Score, and Score Keeper Cards by keeping your reputation high. Kinda neat for those who like showing off.
New Loadouts in Rift Traversal Mode
The “King of Weapons” Spear joins Rift Traversal with new variants like Celestia Spear: Azure Dragon and legendary/extreme spears Spear·Track and Spear·Air. Each comes with distinct abilities altering strikes and combos. Spear Rubrics and Martial Arts skills also got some adjustments to spice up combat.
Extreme Collections Lock Feature
Previewing Extreme cosmetics now lets you switch between different effect forms. Initial cosmetics with this feature include Blade Mystique with three effect types and Doll Dream with three color variations.
Star-Collection Feature Optimizations
Added preview functions for constellations, Restyle guarantees for new Star Collections, and a toggle for the ultimate aura effect. Note that Star-Collections in Season Treasures will become limited-time bonuses and might be removed after their availability period.

- Thunder’s Voice (Aug 7 – Aug 20): Complete daily and event quests for tokens to redeem rewards.
- Source Awakening (Aug 15 – Aug 20): Earn Power Cores by completing quests and watching Mid-Season Championship matches at EWC.
- Day of Reunion (Aug 13 – Aug 24): Sign in for 7 days to claim various rewards including limited-edition avatars and treasures.
- Tao Gate·Opening (Aug 7 – Aug 20): Play Survival or Rift Traversal modes to get Rift Chests with chances for legendary rewards.
- Fission Treasure with Bonus Star-Collections (Aug 7 – Aug 22): Chance to get limited Star-Collection skins with capped maximums and expiration dates.
- 2nd PlayStation® Tournaments #8 (Aug 7 – Sep 3): Weekly quests to earn Jade Medals for rankings and rewards.

Hero Adjustments
Yoto Hime
- Added Golden Focus when throwing the demon blade with Flying Edge.
- Damage multipliers for Ultimate’s charged strikes adjusted for balance.
- Lifesteal multiplier increased from 30% to 40% on Ultimate combos against transformed heroes.
Wuchen
- Changed Defensive Focus during Spirit Blades charging from Blue to Golden Focus.
Zai
- Defensive Focus during Flame Ward dash changed to Golden Focus (Skill).
- Improved pre-input timing for interrupting Flame Ward skill.
Kurumi
- Optimized dodge interrupt timing during Vertical Strikes for Healing Ray skills.
Cyra
- Added automatic pursuit beam 2 seconds after firing beams during Ultimate.
- Players can counter Level 1 and 2 pursuit beams with stagger effect but no counterattack trigger.
- Adjusted damage multipliers of pursuit beams upward.
- Ultimate no longer allows firing Dazzling Light Orbs through Vertical Strikes; orbs replaced skill with a limit of 3 launches.
- Orb healing effect increased; initial cooldown of Aureole: Attach reduced from 25s to 22s.
//Dev Note: Cyra’s previous beam spam was brutal. Now, enemies get breathing room to counterattack. Countering is stamina-friendly and causes a brief stagger. Orbs hit harder but are capped. Guess they’re hoping it works.

- Scene Escape added to ESC menu in Survival and Rift Traversal modes.

- Removed Yang Spirit Wells from Quick Match mode.
Out-of-Game Adjustments
- Neo-Mech Clash returns temporarily; Blessed Brutality is disabled for optimization.
- One-click notification dot cleanup added in settings for non-reward dots.
- Baize’s Blessing cosmetics updated with new Cyra outfits, spear skins, accessories, and hairstyle.
Rift Traversal Adjustments
- Added Training Ground for practicing loadouts and items.
- New Examine Gesture added for collectibles, usable outside Rift Traversal.
- Smart Node Assignment in matchmaking improved to assign nodes based on region and conditions.
- Tranquil Path mode keys (except Cave of Internal Chamber) now consume 2 durability per cave opening; cave drop rates increased.
- In-game equipment now has standard toughness instead of extreme toughness.
- Epic Weapon Racks added with increased spawn and drop rates.
- Rift Gate capture progress decays 6 seconds after leaving area.
- Rift Gate escape points now have one-way shields against ranged attacks.
- Escape points activate 15 seconds after final Rift Gate Tuner activation.
- New transformable objects (Tent and Thatched Cottage) added via Morph Rune, reducing damage taken.
- Smart Swap default settings optimized for equipment and relic replacements.
- Century Chest swap logic optimized prioritizing chest items over bag items for replacement.
Out-game Adjustments Continued
- Quick purchase option added for Extreme Toughness equipment in Prepare interface.
- Rubrics etching can now be edited and saved in loadout presets.
- Storeroom space usage reduced when applying equipment loadouts.
- Confirmation prompts added for abnormal loadout situations like missing weapons.
- Quick item exchange added to Refurbishment and Prepare interfaces.
- Prices of Common weapons and armor lowered; refurbishment Void Gold cost decreased.
- Stacking limits for some items increased to 999.
- Secondary confirmation added for recycling high-value items.
- Automatic teammate equipment return details added to settlement page.
- Storeroom capacity increased across all levels (from 300 up to 600 at max level).

- Scale Armor·Firmness’s Iron Clad damage reduction increased by 25% per hit.
- Scale Armor·Silk’s Silkworm Cocoon effect now adds +20% ranged damage reduction.
//Dev Note: Katana·Silence and Bow·Fire were dominating too much. They want to bring back some tactical variety by buffing counterplay options.
