MultiVersus Launch Trailer Makes Chaos as Jason Voorhees and Agent Smith become Playable Characters

Warner Bros. is back with some serious firepower for MultiVersus. The new launch trailer just dropped and we have Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Agent Smith from The Matrix stepping into the ring. It’s like Halloween and Cyberpunk had a baby, and it’s glorious.

The trailer starts with this epic cinematic sequence, showcasing a brawl between all your favorite fighters from the game’s previous release. It’s like a who of Warner Bros. properties duking it out. And when you think it can’t get any crazier, the Joker shows up, lounging on the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. Talk about a power move.

“I usually work alone,” the Joker sneers, “but I’ll make an exception for you.” Boom, in pops Jason Voorhees, machete in hand, and Agent Smith, looking as menacing as ever. It’s a geek’s dream come true.

But wait, there’s more. Before the trailer wraps up, we see hints of more characters. It’s like Warner Bros. is teasing us with what’s to come in the first season of the re-released MultiVersus. Four more villains, maybe? The hype is real.

And if that’s not enough to get you stoked, over the weekend, they confirmed that a Banana Guard from Adventure Time is joining the fray. We’re now up to four new characters, and I can’t wait to see how they all play out.

Warner Bros. Games has planned the rollout: Jason Voorhees will be hot at launch, while Agent Smith will debut later in the season. Mark your calendars for May 28, folks. MultiVersus is officially back, now running on Unreal Engine 5, with fresh gameplay features and a brand-new Season 1.

For those who remember, MultiVersus hit the scene in July 2022 as an open beta and took the gaming world by storm. We saw a peak of over 143,000 players on Steam on day one, hitting 153,433 the next day.

My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
