No one can deny that MultiVersus has some troubles, especially with some characters that are either broken or not working properly. Despite these minor difficulties, players are still absorbed by this zany gameplay experience, including us, who basically cannot leave the game. Now back on the subject… Batman is an extremely “suicidal” character in MultiVersus at this time.
His notorious grapple hook, as depicted in the original movies, is either broken or malfunctioning big time. Instead of saving yourself by using it, you might end up on a spike. Aside from his suicidal characteristics, he’s a really powerful character in the game. As for the grapple hook, worry less. The developer has already tried to fix it once previously, which didn’t go well. The grapple-hook rubber-banding issue is still there, and it’s likely to be addressed in a short time.
Over on Twitter, the Co-Founder of Player First Games, Tony Huynh, has stated that Batman’s grapple hook should be improved when playing online, which indirectly means they’re already working on it. Check the tweet below.
We think the grapple hook on Batman should be improved when playing online. Let me know if there are any additional issues. #MultiVersus

As for the Tom & Jerry and Jake fix, these involve Jake’s ally projectile not triggering ally cooldowns which allowed some exploits to go through, but also Tom & Jerry’s inability to perform aerial attacks. These two tweaks have taken place in the backend, which means no major client updates occurred. See tweet below.
An online only fix for the Jake ally projectile reflect not triggering ally cooldowns and a bug fix for Tom and Jerry losing ability to perform aerial attacks when they’ve reached their aerial special limit went out. Let me know if you see any issues. #MultiVersus
