Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, revealed he’s spending millions on top-tier medical care for his mom to extend her life. His goal? To have her around to help raise his kids someday. That’s a pretty unusual family plan, but hey, it’s MrBeast’s world.
Outside of his massive YouTube presence, MrBeast is known for blowing millions on extravagant videos and giveaways. Despite often claiming to lose money on his content, he makes bank through ventures like his chocolate brand Feastables and other deals. Still, he admits to borrowing cash from his mom, which adds a funny twist to the whole billionaire image.
During a live stream with internet personalities Adin Ross and xQc, MrBeast opened up about his mom’s health. He said she was skeptical about his YouTube career at first but now enjoys the perks, including access to some of the best doctors money can buy.
He explained, “She’s great. She’s very happy. She’s livin’ the life. One day, I wanna have a lot of kids, and my mom’s pretty old, so we’re doing a lot of high-end health stuff with her to extend her health and lifespan, and having her routinely meet with some of the best doctors in the world.”
“They check all her measurements, all her vitals. When I have kids, I want her to be able to play with them. I want her to be alive. The thought of having to raise kids without my mom helping me sounds f**king miserable.”
He added, “It’s everything. Oh, you’re stressed? Stop doing whatever’s making you stressed. I have her on protocol so she can help babysit my kids.”

Reactions to his comments have been mixed. Some praise his dedication to his mom and family, calling it the best gift to parents and kids . Others found it a bit odd that he’s essentially paying to keep his mom around to help with child-rearing, joking that it sounds like she’s working for him.
One viewer wrote, “That’s the best gift you can give to your parents, wife and kids. They know you’re not going to live alone and someone will take care of you.” Another remarked, “Basically Jimmy said that he is extending his mom’s life so she can work for him more on raising his own kids, LOL.”
Some pointed out the irony in his statement about not being able to be a dad without his mom around, which sparked a few chuckles online.
While MrBeast hasn’t said when he plans to start a family, he did propose to longtime girlfriend Thea Booysen on New Year’s Day 2025. They’re currently planning their wedding, which he admits he had to ask his mom to help fund because he’s reinvesting most of his cash back into his projects.
