Mortal Shell 2 Will Launch August 20 With a 6 a.m. PT Start Listed on SteamDB
Official global launch times have not been confirmed, but SteamDB points to a 6:00 a.m. PT release on August 20, 2026.
Mortal Shell 2 will launch on August 20, 2026, bringing the standalone action RPG sequel to players nearly six years after the original game. Its compact open world contains more than 80 dungeons, giving fans of punishing combat plenty of places to test their patience.
The August release date places Mortal Shell 2 ahead of a busy September schedule, so players who enjoy soulslike adventures will have some time to settle into its world before the next wave of major releases arrives.
The game also opened a free console beta on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, featuring the Prologue and an early section of the open world. Players can cleanse beacons, enter optional dungeons, find hidden mini-bosses, complete challenges, and face Magdalena, the Lady of the Woods, before the full launch.
