Monster Hunter Wilds has just received its Title Update 2 on PS5, version 1.020, which weighs in at about 6.2GB. This update introduces two returning monsters, plenty of gameplay adjustments, new gear options, and some quality-of-life improvements that players will find worth their while.
Capcom has added the fearsome Lagiacrus, a giant water dragon you get to face underwater for a brief but intense fight. Alongside it, the taloned and tricky Seregios will roam the plains. Both monsters show up as tempered 8-star hunts, promising a solid challenge similar to what Mizutsune brought in the first major update.
Layered weapons finally arrive, allowing hunters to customize their look without sacrificing stats. There are also new equipment, skills, pendants, stickers, voice lines, poses, and gestures to freshen up your character. The update even includes new Support Hunters you can recruit for quests, plus improvements to base camps, item management, and the Grand Hub.
Capcom shared a roadmap revealing that Title Update 3 will land in the fall, but before then, a new Festival of Accord event will run from July 23 to August 6, featuring limited-time activities and a Fender collaboration with a guitar-playing gesture. It’s kinda neat to see such crossover events in Monster Hunter Wilds.
