A fresh crossover event is coming this September, linking Monster Hunter Wilds with Final Fantasy 14. Both games will get new content inspired by each other, giving fans a reason to jump back in and see what surprises await.
Capcom already announced a major patch, Title Update 3, for Monster Hunter Wilds. Now we know it includes crossover goodies from Square Enix’s MMO, Final Fantasy 14. Players will be able to ride chocobos, those iconic feathered mounts, and face off against Omega, a raid boss from the MMO. Feels like a bit of Monster Hunter World deja vu, doesn’t it?
But wait, it’s a two-way street. Final Fantasy 14 will get its own dose of Monster Hunter Wilds content. Seikret mounts will be available, and players can challenge Arkveld as a new boss. So fans of either game can expect fresh challenges and cool gear inspired by the other.
Now, I gotta ask: do you reckon you can dodge or block Omega’s beam attacks in Monster Hunter Wilds? That sounds like a tough one to me. And will chocobo rides spice up the hunt enough to pull players back in? Guess we’ll find out come September.
Capcom says more details about this crossover will drop in the weeks ahead. So keep your eyes open if you’re into either game, or both. Crossovers like this can be a bit hit or miss, but this one looks like it might just hit the mark.
