Modern Warfare 4 Beta Dates Are Set, But Start Times Aren’t Yet
The first beta weekend will offer early access, while the second will be open to everyone.

Activision has confirmed the two weekends planned for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta. The first session will run from August 21 through August 25, 2026, while the open beta will follow from August 28 through September 1, 2026.
The first weekend will be reserved for players with early access, while the second will be available to all players. Both sessions will focus on the game’s multiplayer maps and modes. The beta will not include any single-player content.
Modern Warfare 4 Beta Schedule
| Beta session | Dates | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Early Access Beta | August 21–25, 2026 | Players with early access |
| Open Beta | August 28–September 1, 2026 | All players |
The early access period will begin after the Call of Duty: NEXT showcase concludes in August. That presentation is expected to provide more information about Modern Warfare 4 before the beta begins.
When Does the Modern Warfare 4 Beta Start?
Activision has not announced the exact start times for either beta weekend. The timing for Call of Duty: NEXT is also still pending, which means the opening time for the early access session remains unclear.
For comparison, last year’s Black Ops 7 beta began at 10:00 a.m. PT, while the Call of Duty: NEXT showcase started at 9:00 a.m. PT. Those times do not confirm the schedule for Modern Warfare 4, however, and Activision will need to provide the official details before players know when to log in.
