Raven Software and Infinity Ward have released a new server-side patch for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 on March 2. This update brings several bug fixes, improvements, and updates to the game, as outlined in the official patch notes.
One of the critical bug fixes in this update addresses an issue causing the Recent Players list to appear non-responsive after using search. This issue has now been resolved, improving the user experience and making it easier for players to interact with others in the game.
Various geo/collision issues in Ashika Island have been fixed, as well as an issue where the gas was not damaging AI combatants. Additionally, improvements have been made to the Battle Pass, including quick equip options, general navigation, and usability.
In Warzone 2.0, the update fixes an issue impacting the visibility of Contract icons on the Tac Map. It also fixes an issue preventing players from redeploying if they are in Last Stand when the Resurgence timer is disabled. Furthermore, the “Death From Above” mission now tracks properly with teammates.
There are also several updates to the gameplay experience in Warzone 2.0. For example, the visibility of Data Heist Contract objectives on Ashika Island has been improved, and the scale of AI combatant reinforcements has been reduced during Data Heist Contract on Ashika Island.
In DMZ, the AI combatant damage has been reduced across Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, making it less lethal for players. Additionally, there are various performance improvements to DMZ on Ashika Island, and the exploit that allowed players to retain Loadouts between DMZ matches has been fixed.
