WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers had a frustrating issue where DLSS 4 Frame Generation would disable during cutscenes or specific events, limiting performance gains. Thanks to a dedicated modder, this problem has been addressed, allowing players to enjoy smoother gameplay with DLSS 4 Frame Gen active all the time.
Modder mmike0913 created a fix that prevents the game from turning off DLSS 4 Frame Gen. This means you can expect a more consistent experience with higher framerates and fewer stutters. It’s compatible with the Steam version of the game, and while it might work on the GamePass version, that hasn’t been confirmed yet. The mod will need updates whenever the game receives patches, so older versions may not support it.

Leenzee, the developer, recently released Patch 1.5 for WUCHANG. It brought improvements to knockout recovery and flask speed, along with new NPC dialogues and story content. Unfortunately, it didn’t fix the DLSS Frame Gen issue or add performance tweaks.
On the bright side, the patch optimized the game code to reduce VRAM usage and help with frequent stuttering caused by VRAM overflow. That said, traversal stutters will still happen on both PC and consoles.
