Mistfall Hunter Passes 1 Million Players, With Solo Brandrgarde Missions Coming in September
Bellring Games is also promising a new Einherjar difficulty, an Underworld speed challenge, and a monster that disguises itself as treasure during Season 1.

Mistfall Hunter has passed the one-million-player mark, and Bellring Games is marking the occasion with a roadmap for the dark fantasy extraction RPG’s first two seasons. The upcoming content includes solo missions, new challenges, seasonal tasks, and a new monster encounter.
Players should check their in-game inboxes for codes granting the Spellcasting standing pose, five free Moonlight Nectars, a Pro Combat Bag, and an Advanced Combat Bag.
Solo Brandrgarde missions are coming in September
Bellring Games said it received a large amount of feedback from players who wanted to tackle Brandrgarde without a squad. In response, solo versions of both the Normal and Cataclysm Brandrgarde missions will arrive during the middle phase of Season 1 in September 2026.
The developer also warned that adding two solo modes could split the matchmaking queue and create new class-balance problems. Bellring plans to assess those effects and share its findings before making further changes.

What Mistfall Hunter’s roadmap includes
Season 1 is divided into three phases. The first will add a new difficulty level to the endgame Einherjar mode, along with season-exclusive tasks and other seasonal content.
The second phase will unlock the remaining seasonal tasks, add the solo Brandrgarde missions, and introduce the Underworld speed challenge. The third phase will bring the Golden Woodling, a monster that can disguise itself as treasure, as well as the Ancestor Tree random-match event.
Bellring has shared fewer details about Season 2, but the roadmap names a new Blackarrow weapon called the Javelin. The season will also feature a new theme, exclusive gameplay, a season-specific progression system, and more seasonal content that will be revealed over time.
Mixed Steam reviews remain a hurdle
The player milestone arrives alongside a mixed reception on Steam. At the time of the announcement, Mistfall Hunter had 3,650 reviews and counting. Players have raised concerns about optimization, the game’s reliance on microtransactions, and the limited solo options.
The September additions will address one of those complaints, though Bellring’s matchmaking warning shows that adding solo play will bring its own problems. Whether the roadmap improves the game’s reception will depend on how those changes work once they reach the game.
