Minecraft just got a hefty update for Bedrock Edition version. This patch is packed with fresh content and a truckload of fixes that tweak gameplay, graphics, AI behavior, and user interface. If you thought your Minecraft world was already running smoothly, think again. There’s a lot to unpack here, including a brand-new Copper Golem and Copper Chest that promise to add a bit of order to the chaos of item storage.
Experimental Game Drop Features
Mojang has added some cool experimental stuff you can try by toggling Experimental Features in your world settings. Be warned: these are still in development and could crash your world or cause compatibility headaches down the line.
Copper Golem
This new helper is summoned using copper and carved pumpkins. The Copper Golem is basically your base’s personal organizer, grabbing items left in Copper Chests and sorting them into other chests around your base by item type. If you decide to off the golem, it drops 1 to 3 Copper Ingots.
- Will pick up to 16 items at once from oxidized or waxed Copper Chests within 32 blocks horizontally and 8 blocks vertically.
- Places items into nearby chests or trapped chests if they’re empty or already contain the same item type.
- Visits up to 10 chests in sequence before idling for 7 seconds if no match is found.
Copper Chest
These new chests come in waxed and oxidized forms, just like other copper blocks. You craft them using a regular chest and copper ingots. Drop your stuff in, and the Copper Golem takes it from there.
- Oxidizes over time but can be waxed to keep its shiny look.
Copper Tools and Armor
Copper gear slots in between stone and iron tiers. Copper tools hit as hard as stone but last longer and work faster. They’re also more enchantable than diamond, but just a bit less than iron. Copper armor is tougher than leather but not as durable as iron, with enchantability just below iron.
- Includes Copper Axe, Hoe, Pickaxe, Shovel, and Sword.
- Copper Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots.
- Smelting copper equipment yields Copper Nuggets.
