MindsEye has had a rough start with plenty of bugs and crashes, frustrating players. The June 18 Hotfix 2 update aims to fix some of the most troublesome issues, including mission fail errors and game crashes, while improving overall performance and visuals.
It’s been a rocky launch for MindsEye, with the game becoming one of 2025’s lowest-rated titles and even appearing in clearance sales shortly after release. Build A Rocket Boy has responded quickly, releasing updates to turn things around. This hotfix tackles several mission-breaking bugs and technical problems that have been holding players back.

The patch focuses on mission fail errors, crashes, animations, and performance improvements. Some specific fixes include preventing mission fails during cinematics and correcting vehicle behavior issues.

ALL PLATFORMS:
- Continued performance improvements for CPU, GPU, and memory usage.
- Fixed AI vehicle collision problems.
- Addressed several causes of game crashes.
- Resolved mission fail during the cinematic in the “Doxxed” mission.
- Prevented destruction of the Red Sky Car during cinematics.
- Buggy springs now contract properly; tires spin correctly with Motion Blur off.
- Removed invisible collider blocking progress in the “A New Companion” mission.
- Fixed vehicle despawning issues at objectives in the same mission.
- Corrected DPR and Delta.45 weapons from merging incorrectly.
- Adjusted VFX sparks on damaged drones to reduce brightness.
- Fixed AI characters holding weapons at a 90-degree angle.
- Corrected visual deformations on some male character models when hit by vehicles.
PC-SPECIFIC FIXES:
- Editor camera can now clip through the map and static props in Build.MindsEye.
- Added alert for AMD CPU users to update Windows for branch prediction improvements.
