Mighty Pokémon Have Arrived in Pokémon GO!

Hey there, fellow trainers! 🌟 The excitement is real with the latest update in Pokémon GO introducing us to Mighty Pokémon. If you’re as pumped as I am about this new addition, sit tight because we’re diving into everything you need to know about these powerful creatures that have just stepped onto the scene!

What Are Mighty Pokémon?

Mighty Pokémon are a fresh and fierce breed of wild Pokémon that can be found at higher levels than your everyday catch. Imagine rolling up on a wild Snorlax only to find it flaunting a minimum IV of 13/13/13. Yeah, you heard that right! This means they come pre-packaged with some serious potential.

These bad boys debuted during the Pokémon GO Wild Area 2024: Fukuoka, Japan event, and while we’re all hoping they stick around after the festivities end, we don’t have any confirmation yet. Fingers crossed!

Mighty Characteristics

The Mighty crew comes with some standout traits:

  • Catching Range: They show up between Levels 40 and 45 without weather boosts and can go even higher if it’s storming out.
  • Evolved Forms: These Pokémon appear fully developed. No more waiting for them to grow up!
  • Shiny Potential: Yes, they can be shiny! Catching one could mean an extra-special trophy for your collection.
  • Sneaky Size: Mighties are more likely to be XL or XXL when caught. You love to see it!
  • Aggressive Attitude: Get ready for an intense catch minigame because these guys don’t play nice.
  • Tough Cookies: You should bring out the big guns, Golden Razz Berries, and those elusive GO Safari Balls (more on those soon), which will help seal the deal.

Catching Tips & Tricks

If you’re hunting for Mighty Pokémon, look for their unique yellow glow on the map. When you initiate a catch attempt? Surprise! Their CP will be hidden behind “!!!” until you engage fully. It’s like a mini mystery box every time!

This also means less Stardust and Candy XL spent since you’re getting ready-made buddies at high levels already, a trainer’s dream come true! But do brace yourself. Catching them can feel like trying to wrangle a slippery soap bar, and expect frequent attacks during your attempts.

The New GO Safari Balls Explained

You might’ve heard whispers about GO Safari Balls, exclusive during Wild Area events. These nifty balls promise better capture rates, but remember, they vanish from your bag once the event wraps up! And here’s a kicker: any Poké caught in them can’t transfer to Pokémon Home. So make sure each throw counts!

Your Questions Answered

No Mighty Outside Events?

The jury’s still out on whether they’ll pop up outside Wild Area events. Stay tuned as we await word from Niantic.

Mighties vs Regulars – Any Move Differences?

Nope! Movesets are identical, mostly about their IVs and level advantages that set them apart.

The Stat Game – Better or Not?

Nope, again. The stats align perfectly with powered-up regulars, and they save you some resources on powering them up later!

ID Consistency Across Trainers?

If you’re above Level 30, rejoice! Every trainer encountering a Mighty will face off against one with identical IVs. For those lower than Level 30? You’ll get uniquely rolled ones instead.
